
Samuel Toro holds a master’s degree in history, and a bachelor’s degree in public history with a minor in Anthropology. Samuel has served as a research assistant here at CSUB the last 3 years. He is a first-generation student who strives for excellence and is equity-minded and strives to give his colleagues his mentoring advice. As a volunteer and later research-paid student assistant in the HRC, Samuel has displayed hard, efficient work. His experience in the Archives has influenced his interest in public and local histories in Kern County. His interest has expanded into fields regarding social movements, social justice, and extremism in the United States. His focus on local histories helped throughout his work in this Gallery.
