HRC Volunteer Opportunities
The Historical Research Center offers limited volunteer opportunities for currently enrolled CSUB students interested in gaining experience with historical research, archives, public history, and related work. Volunteer positions are limited to one student per academic semester, and placement is not guaranteed.
Students interested in volunteering with the HRC must be in good academic standing and should be prepared to work carefully with historical materials, institutional records, and research-related tasks. Because HRC work often requires accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail, volunteers must be detail oriented, reliable, and able to follow instructions closely.
Volunteer opportunities are intended for students who are serious about developing practical skills, contributing to the work of the HRC, and learning more about the professional standards involved in historical and archival work.
