Guadalupe Herrera

Guadalupe Herrera currently holds a bachelor’s degree in history with an emphasis in public history, and she enrolled as as a graduate student projected to graduate in Spring 2027. She is currently a member of Phi Alpha Theta, an American honor society whose mission is to promote the study of history through research and publication, and a member of the ICDP fellowship, which aims to develop students’ abilities to engage in and lead conversations about difficult and important political topics. As a research assistant in the Historical Research Center, she assists in digitizing, organizing, and cataloging archives and helping to preserve the history of CSUB and the San Joaquin Valley as a whole. Her personal historical interests include U.S. and Latin American history, with a specific interest in Indigenous Mexican history. She hopes to one day work either in an archive or museum, where she can be surrounded by fascinating pieces of history every day.
